The Ship & Mitre is proud to bring our legendary Beer Festival back to the heart of Liverpool! Join us at the iconic St George’s Hall for an unforgettable celebration of beer, food, and entertainment.

 

Dates:
Thursday 24th – Sunday 27th September 2026

Expect over 250 beers and ciders, including: Real ales, Craft beers, continental lagers & a spritz bar

We’ll be showcasing incredible brews from across the UK alongside some of the best local breweries.

Entertainment will feature across all sessions (except Friday afternoon, which is our quiet session for those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere).

Food will be provided by local vendors: The One Pan Band, The Bagelry, Eat Up Gud, Crosby Cheese Company, Everything Sweet and Ship & Mitre Pies.

FAQs

I don’t like beer. What other choices do I have?
Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. We’ll have a wine, spirits and fizz bar, and our extensive cider/perry bar will be complemented by a new addition of six meads to choose from.
Is there anywhere I can get water?
Yes, there will be water stations around the hall.
What alcohol-free beers do you have?
We’ll have 10 different alcohol-free beers and ciders.
Do you have any gluten-free beer?
Yes, we do, and they’re highlighted in the programme.
Is the festival child-friendly?
The beer festival is as child-friendly as a beer festival can be! Children are allowed into the day sessions, but please bear in mind that the sessions will be busy.
Is it dog-friendly like the Hulme Hall Festival?
Unfortunately, the St George’s Beer Festival isn’t dog-friendly. Only guide dogs will be allowed in.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes, it is! As the festival is being held in the Great Hall, the accessible entrance will be on William Brown Street, opposite the Walker Art Gallery.
Can I bring my own food?
Unfortunately, no. You won’t be permitted to bring your own food and drink into the festival. We will have multiple local food traders, as well as a tuck shop behind the token desk.
Where do we enter the beer festival?
Entry to the beer festival is via the North Entrance, opposite the Walker Art Gallery and World Museum.
