Ship & Mitre 21st Wirral Beer Festival
The Ship & Mitre is proud to bring to you our 21th beer festival, to be held at Hulme Hall Wednesday 1st until Sunday 5th April 2026
There’ll be over 200 beers including 100 real ales and 80 craft beers, as well as Continental lagers, ciders and a gin bar. A number of one-off beers and collaboration brews have been created, and the Ship team have visited Blacklodge, Rat Brewery, Mobberley and Botelai to make 4 exciting beers
Entertainment will be available across all sessions, except from Friday afternoon which we keep as our quiet session.
You can enjoy food from our selection of local stallholders and hot food will be available from Hulme Hall.

FAQs
Can I swap my session? I’ve bought the wrong one.
We cant change sessions when tickets have been purchased please apply for a refund and re purchase the session you require.
Will I be able to pay on the door?
We can not guarantee you will be able to attend if you pay on the day. The venue does have a capacity but we do sell what tickets we have left on the door for £1 extra than advertised.
Do I have to print my ticket off?
No you can show your ticket on your phone and we will scan you in
Do I have to pay the booking fee?
We will have tickets available from the Ship&Mitre minus the booking fee
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
We do allow children into our daytime sessions but we operate a strict challenge 25 procedure on all our bars so please bring ID
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The venue has a large car park, there are numerous buses that go to Port Sunlight and the train station is less than 5min walk
What’s the refund policy?
7 days before the event starts. If you have bought tickets direct from The Ship and Mitre please contact us.
Do you have food available?
Yes we will have a range of hot and cold food available including vegetarian options please see our website for menus
If I don’t like beer will there be other drinks available?
We have a full range of wines and spirits as well as our Cider, Perry
